Synopsis

The first season of the series, which was released with the subtitle of “Unabomber” features the search for Theodore Kaczynski, one of the most dangerous American terrorists. Known in the press as the ‘Unabomber’, Kaczynski is infamous for his seventeen years of terrorist activities – he mailed 16 bombs that killed three people and injured about 20.

In the center of the series’ plot, Jim Fitzgerald, an FBI officer using linguistics as a method for collecting data, did his best to catch the Unabomber.

Interesting Facts

  • Unfortunately, the Manhunt for the Unabomber did not attract a large audience of TV viewers, as it was in the shadow of David Fincher’s “Mindhunter”, a similar show.
  • The co-stars of the series are also known for their previous roles, which are among the most commercially successful in the history of the film industry. Sam Worthington donned the skin of a blue humanoid on the set of “The Avatar”, and Paul Bettany played the role of the android Vision in the MCU. In the near future, both actors will return to these roles – Worthington will appear in the Avatar sequel for Christmas 2022, and Bettany will be included in the all-star cast of “WandaVision”, which will air next year.
  • The show is consulted by Jim Fitzgerald, portrayed by Sam Worthington in the Manhunt.
