Synopsis

Based on a true story, Dark Waters is a film about a laywer Robert Bilott. It all begins when an old acquaintance asked him to investigate numerous cattle deaths near Parkersburg, West Virginia. During the investigation, Bilott realizes that water in the vicinity of Parkersburg is contaminated with Teflon. It also becomes evident that nobody regulates its emissions. The lawyer believes that the local economic mainstay DuPont Corporation are the ones to blame for the leak. Bilott is adamant that he will have to oppose DuPont… Yet what can one lawyer do against a large corporation? So, he sets on on a court battle. In the end, this case will become one of the most high-profile cases in the judicial history of the United States of America.

Mark Ruffalo performed the leading part in this top-class Hollywood movie. He thus balances his role in the MCU as Hulk and also acts as a producer of the drama. Ruffalo was listed as an Oscar nominee three times. This year, he has every chance of getting an Emmy for his performance in I Know This Much Is True mini-series. In this short series he impersonated twin brothers with a very difficult fate.
