Emma Zia D'Arcy (born 27 June 1992) is an English film, television, and theatre actor who has appeared in television productions such as Truth Seekers, Wanderlust and House of the Dragon.

Early life

D'Arcy attended the Ruskin School of Art, an art school at the University of Oxford, studying Fine Art. They have appeared in several theatre productions, including Romeo and Juliet, The Games We Played, and The Crucible at The Yard Theatre,[1] and in theatre productions of Against at the Almeida Theatre, A Girl in School Uniform (Walks into a Bar) at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Mrs. Dalloway and Callisto: A Queer Epic at the Arcola Theatre, and Pillowman at the Oxford Playhouse.

Career

In addition to appearing in theatre, they have also appeared in several television productions, including Truth Seekers, a comedy horror series starring Nick Frost for Amazon Prime Video in 2020. They have also appeared in Nick Payne's BBC One and Netflix series Wanderlust, which debuted in 2018, as well as the second series of the Amazon Prime Video series Hanna.[1][2][3] They also appeared in the 2020 comedy-drama film Misbehaviour directed by Philippa Lowthorpe. D'Arcy appears in the HBO series House of the Dragon, a spin-off of Game of Thrones, as Rhaenyra Targaryen. The series began production in April 2021, and its ten-episode first season debuted in August 2022
