Synopsis

The main character of The Platform — Goreng — decides to take part in a social experiment. He wakes up in a vertical tower-like prison on level 43 with a rectangular hole in the center of the cell. Every day a platform with food goes down the hole, stopping at each level to feed the inmates. And while those at top levels can enjoy as much food as they want, people at the bottom end up eating each other not to starve to death. Every month inmates are randomly reassigned to a new level, climbing up or down the hierarchy. Goreng realizes he is involved in a horrible experiment and like the rest of the inmates has to make a hard choice — follow animal’s survival instincts or try and remain human.
