Synopsis

This is the latest animated film produced by Pixar Animation Studio, which has a very chance to become a new animation masterpiece.

Joe, the main character of Soul, is a school music teacher who sets his heart on jazz. Finally, he has a chance to appear before the footlights, but the triumph does not happen because Joe falls into the open hatch and his soul leaves his body. The soul got into kind of weird place that is not in line with our ideas about the netherworld. It is the place where souls develop their personalities before being sent off to Earth. Joe meets a restless soul named 22 that has its own take on this and that worlds. This meeting will completely change the musician’s life.

• Pete Docter, a director of Soul, is a creator of Monsters, Inc., Up and Inside Out animated films. He won two Oscars for Up and Inside Out.
• By the way, Soul is the second joint animation project of Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios in a year. Onward, an animated film about adventures of two unlucky elves, was released in summer before this film.
• Initially, Soul supposed to have its premiere on June 19, 2020, but due to the coronavirus epidemic, its release was postponed for five months, and all viewers wishing to watch the film may do that starting from November 20, 2020.
