Synopsis

Japan Sinks: 2020 animated series shows beautiful and serene days of Tokyo life, which has just hosted the Olympics. Ayumu, a little girl, trains hard on a treadmill while Go, her brother, plays video games at home. Meanwhile, their father works at one of the Olympic venues and their mother returns home after an overseas trip. At this moment, an earthquake begins, a phenomenon that has become almost common for the Japanese. While keeping calm, everyone is waiting for the end of the tremors. However, this earthquake is only a harbinger of a serious catastrophe that will become a global cataclysm.

Miraculously, the surviving members of the Muto family found each other near the ruins of their home. And now they have to find the answer to the pressing question – where to go? Since Tokyo is almost completely destroyed and there is no mobile connection, there is no one to give them good advice. The Muto family sets out on the road, helping other people along the way. However, this journey turns into a very dangerous adventure, and only a few will manage to survive until the end of this story.
