Synopsis

Doctor Sleep movie is an adaptation of Stephen King’s sequel to The Shining.

After the monstrous events that happened at the Overlook Hotel, viewers will see an adult Danny. His life is a series of failures and wrong decisions. He is afraid of his supernatural abilities, as it is because of them that ghosts haunt him.

At some point, Dan decides to change his life. Quitting drinking, he goes to work in a hospice to help the dying using his powers, which he himself calls “shining”. It was here that he got his “Doctor Sleep” nickname.

Meanwhile, a group of strange people are hunting children who have strange powers like Dan has. Abra, a girl possessing these powers, contacts the main character and asks him for help.

So, will Doctor Sleep be able to withstand the powerful psychic vampires?

• Premiered on October 30, 2019, the Doctor Sleep movie was made available for viewing on streaming services since January 24, 2020.
• The film stars actors, many of whom are expected to global premieres in the future – Ewan McGregor joined the cast of the television series about the adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi from the “Star Wars” universe; Rebecca Ferguson will appear in the “Dune” blockbuster this winter; Cliff Curtis joins the all-star cast of “Avatar”, the sequel to the uber-blockbuster; Jacob Tremblay will voice the Flounder fish in the live action remake of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”.
