Jericho

Synopsis

The measured life of the town of Jericho (Kansas), is interrupted after a terrible tragedy has occurred. In the side where the Denver is, the locals saw the trail of the nuclear explosion. Collected information bit by bit, the residents of Jericho managed to find out that the main cities of the United States were destroyed as a result of a series of nuclear attacks. Now, the surviving people have to rebuild their lives in the post-apocalypse world.

Jake Green (Skeet Ulrich), the mayor’s son, is the protagonist of the TV show.  Having become the head of the community, Jake helps people survive and build a new way of life while defending against the alien invaders and at the same time figuring out what really happened on that ill-fated day.

Interesting Facts

• The first season of the TV show was released on September 20, 2006 on CBS. Due to the low ratings of “Jericho”, the producers decided to close the TV show after its first season. However, due to a massive campaign against the closure of the TV series, it was renewed for a second season featuring 7 new episodes. The final episode of “Jericho” was released on March 25, 2008.
• A Morse code encrypted message giving a hint about what the new story will be, sounds at the beginning of each episode of the TV series.
• Skeet Ulrich, an actor known for his involvement in the “Scream” film series, is the lead actor on the TV show. Ulrich is now also starring in “Riverdale”, a teenage drama, playing the father of one of the main characters.
