The Rain

Synopsis

The strange rain that covered the whole of Scandinavia contains a deadly virus in every drop that can kill a person in a matter of minutes. Working in Apollo secret organization, Dr. Frederic Andersen learns about the mortal danger before anyone else. Hiding his son Rasmus and daughter Simone in one of the Apollo bunkers, he left in an unknown direction. Staying at the bunker for six years, the brother and sister finally decide to go out to see what happened to the world. However, the world is still unsafe – the rain continues to kill, and very dangerous people roam the deserted Scandinavia.

Simone and Rasmus set off on a journey in search of a new refuge. In addition, the brother and sister want to find their father, who – on their suspicion – is involved in a global catastrophe. Before leaving the children in the bunker, Dr. Andersen said that Rasmus is the key to what had happened. Maybe if they will find other Apollo units, they can help deal with the deadly rain?

Alba August, the Danish-Swedish actress who played Simone, became popular in Scandinavia for her role as the great storyteller in “Becoming Astrid” movie premiered in 2018.
