Synopsis

Welcome to the perfect town of Stonybrook, Connecticut. Here we meet our young heroines — active Christie, elegant Stacy, fashionista Claudia, and shy Mary Ann. The friends decide to do something new and set up an agency that provides babysitting services for the town residents. Step by step girls will learn more about friendship, understanding, responsibility, and the ability to be themselves. They will face competition and jealousy, their friendship will be tested, but in the end, they will succeed!

The extremely heartful TV-series, that is The Baby-Sitters Club, is, on the one hand, a something for teenagers to watch, but on the other hand, it is a kind of TV-series therapy for the viewers who are tired of all the drama, crime, and deep thoughts and want to escape from the difficult reality to somewhere cozy and pleasant.

• The novel series The Baby-Sitters Club, on which the TV-series is based, includes 213 books written by Ann Martin and numerous ghostwriters. The novels were published from 1986 to 2000 and sold nearly 200 million copies. Since then, several comics, a movie, and two TV-series based on The Baby-Sitters Club have been released.
• Before The Baby-Sitters Club, showrunner Rachel Shukert worked on the TV-series about female wrestling called Glow. Its final season will be released on Netflix soon.
• One of the series heroines, Christie, calls her mother “not entirely clueless.” This is a reference to the movie Clueless, starring Alicia Silverstone, who played Christie’s mother in The Baby-Sitters Club.
• Starting July 3, 2020, The Baby-Sitters Club TV-series is available to all Netflix subscribers.
