Synopsis
A girl named Vic, the main character of the television series, is a talented artist who has to go through hard times – her family collapses and her father leaves her mother. Vic has to realize what to do next and how to figure out his life. Suddenly, the girl finds herself with a supernatural ability – she can create a bridge leading her to where she needs to be. In parallel with this, children began to disappear in the district. Thanks to her newfound power, the girl learns that a some-who Charlie Manx is to blame, an immortal villain who steals the souls of children and takes them to Christmasland.
Interesting Facts
- The first episode of the second season aired on June 21, 2020 on AMC. However, the series was not renewed for a third season as AMC announced the closure of the project.
- The TV show is based on the mystical novel of the same name by Joe Hill, the Stephen King son. Following his father, Hill has already written four novels, two of which have been filmed – “Horns” and “NOS4A2”. Joe also had his hand in the creation of “Locke & Key”, a graphic novel that was adapted as a Netflix series in 2020. Incidentally, Joe Hill acts as an executive producer for film adaptations of his literary works.
- Zachary Quinto, a wonderful actor, played Charlie Manx, the main antagonist in the television series. He is excellent at playing villainous roles, as evidenced by his performance of Sylar in “Heroes”, the cult television series. The actor is currently engaged in the voice-over of “Invincible”, an animated series based on a comic book series that completely reimagines the superhero institution.
