Synopsis

Jackie (Pauley Perrette), a typical single mom, had a normal life. She had a lovely son Sammy, job in a bar, and an unruly house. Eventually, her sister Elizabeth (Natasha Leggero) together with her husband Javier (Jaime Camil) appeared at the door at rather an inconvenient time. They were once known as the very wealthy peoples, but times had changed since Javier’s father took them away from his trust fund that caused them poor. They hope to crash at Jackie’s house. What does single mom say?

Predictably, general jokes of the series will be about poorness, wealth, cashless existence adaptation and family tie acquisition. The sisters will squabble, Javier will try to find money, and his assistant Luis, who was brought to the house as a bonus, will help them out.

Broke has all elements of similar sitcoms: two and a half scenery, canned laughter and ham actors. The series is generally good, if you need to smile once or twice.
