Plot

Otis (Asa Butterfield) lives in a conventional and beautiful town in Wales. At first sight, he is just a regular teenager. He goes to school, listens to music, and takes walks with his friend Eric. Otis’s mother is a sex therapist, her name is Jean Milburn (played by Gillian Anderson, Scully from ‘The X-Files’), and that’s why Otis has been fully aware of everything around sex ever since childhood. So he and some of his new friends decide to arrange an undercover consulting office, where he starts to give advise on sex to his fellow students. It really doesn’t matter to him that he’s still a virgin. A very vibrant and light comedy that never gets gross, still touching on some sensitive matters. After all, everybody talks about sex and everybody is looking for love. 

This series received many accolades thanks to its amazing cast. Asa Butterfield is perfect as the nerdy teenager and Gillian Anderson mesmerizes the audience from the first scene.

Interesting facts

• The series was a huge success even without any major promotion. During the first week, it has been viewed by over 40 million people.
• The show music composer, Ezra Furman, appears in the seventh episode as the singer at the prom.
• Every character in the series drives a car from 70s or 90s.
