Synopsis

Midge Meisel (Rachel Brosnahan) is a beautiful married Jewish girl, she does not work and supports her husband Joel, who, after the office work during the day tries to be a stand-up comedian in the evenings. But when it turns out that he steals all the jokes and cheats on Midge with his secretary, Mrs. Maisel accidentally goes on stage herself to complain about life. The audience applauds, and Midge turns out to be a great performer. There is also a manager – Susie (Alex Borstein), ready to lead Midge to glory.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has become one of the top sitcoms of the decade, reaping statuettes at every TV awards ceremony. This is a series in which everything is done for five-plus: the atmosphere of New York in the 1950s, dramatic moments, and incredibly funny stand-up performances of the main character.

The showrunners of the series are Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino, who previously worked together on the popular TV show “Gilmore Girls.”
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has three Golden Globes and sixteen Emmy awards. This series was the first to receive an Emmy for Best Comedy TV Show being produced by a streaming platform.
Even though actors Rachel Brosnahan, Marin Hinkle, and Tony Shaloub portray the Jewish family wonderfully, they are not Jewish.
