Synopsis

A handsome young man appears in the Middle East (Mehdi Dehbi) whom everyone is beginning to take for the Messiah, whose coming precedes the end of the world. The young man performs magic, literally teleports to Jerusalem, and then ends up in the United States. The whole world is closely following the Messiah and cannot understand is he a real messenger of the apocalypse or just a fraud. It is clear that the young man is in the zone of careful attention of the CIA and agent Eva Geller (Michelle Monaghan), who becomes literally obsessed with this very unobvious story.

Interesting facts

Although actor Mehdi Dehbi, who plays the main role, has Arab roots, he was born in Liège, Belgium. There he plays in the theater and even produces performances as a director.
Most of the actors involved in the series were afraid of spiders, so the creators of the series specially brought these arthropods to the set so that the performers’ fear emotions were as realistic as possible.
Almost all the actors playing Iranians in the series are actually Arabs and do not know how to speak Persian.
Actress Michelle Monaghan very rarely starred in TV shows, but her every appearance in multi-part films is worthy of attention. She played wonderfully in the drama The Way about the life of a religious sect. Besides, she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in 2015 for her role in the first season of True Detective, but lost the statuette to Joanne Froggatt.
