Synopsis

The plot of this breathtaking British thriller hinges upon Shaun Emery (Callum Turner), the Afghanistan war veteran, who was under investigation for war crimes. His lawyer Hannah Roberts (Laura Haddock) could drop all charges, but she was killed shortly afterwards. Shaun becomes a suspected person again and falls under a focused attention of detective Rachel Carey (Holliday Grainger) who exerted all her detective powers and homicide department technical capacities to learn the full truth.

The Capture is not only the tightly-plotted thriller that plays with the viewers by changing intrigue in each episode, but also a dire remarks about moral choice of the security services. The question is how far the detective can go to provide security to civilians? Is the mass surveillance of the suspected person worthwhile?
