Interesting Facts

The title role of Sherlock Holmes’s sister was played by probably the most successful new generation actress, Millie Bobby Brown. This 16-year-old is also one of the film’s producers. The young Millie Bobby Brown’s career is going uphill despite the global pandemic, which is one of the reasons why the new Stranger Things season was suspended. In the spring of 2021, we will see a new film with Millie called Godzilla vs. Kong. She also stars in the screen adaptation of the The Thing About Jellyfish bestseller.

Arthur Conan Doyle’s heirs have sued the creators of Enola Holmes, and in particular, Netflix, Legendary, and the author of the literary source Nancy Springer. Interestingly enough, Sherlock Holmes’s books that were published before 1923, are already considered a public domain. The estate believes that Enola Holmes is based on the stories written after 1923. Moreover, a similar situation happened five years ago before the premiere of the film Mr. Holmes with Ian McKellen. At that time, the estate and the film company sorted it out with a deal.
The premiere of Enola Holmes will take place on September 23, 2020 on Netflix.
